Activities done in the months of October, November and December in the Pre-Primary Department

DIWALI CELEBRATION
MCKV toddlers celebrated Diwali with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement at the school premises on 16 October, 2017.The classrooms were beautifully decorated. The celebrations started with a Story-Telling activity on Diwali. The teachers narrated the story about the victory of good over evil with the help of props. The children were dressed in colourful attires.
To nurture creativity amongst the students, several activities were conducted in the classrooms where the children made beautiful craft work with the help of their teachers. On this auspicious occasion, the Dry Fruit Day was also organized in the class.
SHOW AND TELL
A Show and Tell competition was organized for the Nursery kids from 27.11.2017 to 30.11.17. Flora and Fauna was the theme for this year. So, the topic was related to it. Each and every child brought pictures (as per topic given) in the class. Kids spoke about the cut-out they had brought. This activity enhanced their speaking skills. Children showed a lot of enthusiasm in carrying out this activity.
WINTER WEEK CELEBRATION
Winter week was celebrated from 4 December to 8 December. Day 1 was the briefing session by the teachers about the winter garments used during the winter season. On Day 2, use of winter care products was demonstrated. Day 3 was about showing the kids the seasonal fruits and vegetables. On Day 4, kids were served yummy tomato soup. Children had fun sipping the soup with their friends.
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Children’s Day was celebrated in the Pre Primary wing of MCKV with great enthusiasm. It was a fun-filled day for the children. All the Pre-Primary Children watched the movie ‘Jungle Book’ and played games in the field. The games were arranged by the PT teachers. All the children were encouraged to participate in the games and got a gift from the teachers. The children expressed joy on receiving a token of love from their teachers.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
The Pre-Primary Department celebrated Christmas on 22 December. The kids came in red clothes. They were thrilled when the cake cutting was done. Each class had some craft activity related to Christmas. The children of KG watched a movie. Christmas parties were held in each and every classroom. The children enjoyed the parties very much.
