Annual prize day 2018 on the occasion of the 22nd Foundation day

Having stood tall for two decades, M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth’s journey from its genesis bears testimony to the fact that sincere and honest efforts can help one reach the sky. The celebration of the 22nd Foundation Day of our school on 14th June aided us reminisce who we are, where we have been and where we are headed towards.

This year, the day brought home a beautiful concurrence of our annual prize distribution and a short musical marvel. Having welcomed our Chief Guest for the day, Mrs. Meeakshi Atal, Founder Head Mistress and Vice Principal of The Heritage School, and other dignitaries, the day began on an auspicious note by lighting the lamp. Thereafter, the Saraswati Vandana sung by the students initiated the crowd into the day’s programme. On behalf our Chairman, Sri S.S.Kejriwal, our Vice Chairman, K.K.Kejriwal shared with us his invaluable experiences  and Principal, Sri Neelkantha Gupta, elaborated  the rich history and tradition of our school and also propelled the students to better themselves so that they can serve the society in every possible way .

The various cultural programmes adding myriad hues to the day's event included a  tribute to Goddess Saraswati, the divine entity blessing all of us with wisdom, knowledge and art. The programme was enriched with a dance presentation which had at its core the idea of showing concern and care for the elderly; a mellifluous folk fusion of guitar and tabla and finally a soul-stirring instrumental presentation which brought a little colour to our monochromatic  past.

At the centre of this day was the long awaited Annual Prize Distribution ceremony, an event at which students across all levels were given due recognition under various categories for their persistent endeavours to achieve excellence in a wide gamut of fields throughout the last academic year. Following the legacy our ever-generous management awarded merit scholarships consisting of a 50 percent waiver of tuition fees to outstanding students of classes I to IX , and for class XI, a 30 percent and 25 percent waiver of fees for those securing an aggregate average of  95 percent and above and  90-95 percent respectively in the ICSE examinations. The hall resonated with thunderous applause when the toppers of ICSE and ISC 2018 received their due accolades.

Our school added a new feather to the cap last year when our students outperformed themselves in “Confluence”, the art exhibition held at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. The efforts of these students earned them great appreciation amidst the gathering. Prizes were also given for Inter-House achievements.

The management did not fall short of lauding and felicitating the teachers who completed 10 and 15 years of dedicated service in the institution and those who attended school regularly without absence. The members of the ancillary staff, who go beyond the call of duty every day to make this institution functional, were also honoured.

After a motivating speech by Mrs. Meenakshi Atal, the day came to a close with a vote of thanks proposed by our Headmistress, Mrs. Mallika Mukherjee. All of us who have been a part of this journey took a solemn oath to further the milestones that this institution shall achieve in the years to come.
