Lending a Helping Hand: A Fundraiser event for the children of Ekal Vidyalayas

One of the objectives of MCKV Interact Club is to achieve the cherished dream of hundred percent literacy. A little step towards this noble goal was taken on 12 March 2022. The Interact Club of MCKV, in collaboration with Friends of Tribals Society, organized an innovative and exclusive way of raising funds by organising a mega sale of old garments, shoes, bags, accessories, toys and other items to the underprivileged section of the society at a subsidized rate. The fund collected would be used for the noble cause of imparting education to the students of Ekal Vidyalayas, schools set up in remote villages to provide basic education to hundreds of children who do not have the liberty, exposure or scope of studying in a school. We hope that at least some children can avail themselves of the benefits and create a better life. This small initiative on the part of the MCKV Interact Club was an eternal lesson in empathy, compassion and collaboration for our students.
