The ‘MCKV Summer Camp, 2017’ was organized on the School premises for children of the age group of 5 to 14 years from 15 to 19 May 2017 during the summer holidays. 74 students attended the camp. Siblings of our students, studying in other schools, were also invited to participate in the camp. The primary focus of the camp was to enhance the educational and cultural development of the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
A variety of activities such as meditation, storytelling, gardening, playing with numbers, photography, language reinforcement, Art & Craft, non-fire cooking, and dancing were designed for the children to beat the monotony of their daily life. The Camp ended with a rain dance and party. Children thoroughly enjoyed the activities organized for them.
The Summer Camp was designed not only to accommodate children, but it was even customized for the mothers whose wards are presently studying in MCKV. They were given new ideas on cooking, spoken English, meditation and health & fitness. The mothers expressed their gratitude for organizing such a camp.
Overall, the camp was a great success.
