73rd Republic Day Celebration in MCKV

On 26th January, 2022, MCKV celebrated the 73rd Republic Day of the nation in its own unique style. Unlike the elaborate celebrations of the pre-covid world, the MCKV fraternity gathered together in person as well as virtually to pay homage to our country. The event was also streamed live on the YouTube channel of The School Times. MCKV Junior News Network reporters, Mayank Sharma and Ishan Shaw of Class 12, covered the event.

The National Flag was unfurled by the Chairman of the school, Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal in the presence of the Director, Mr Neelkanth Gupta; Principal, Mrs Mallika Mukherjee; Principal of MCKV Institute of Engineering, Dr. Abhijit Lahiri; Headmaster, Mr Biswajit Majumdar; staff members and students. Our dear Chairman Sir motivated our students through an inspiring speech.

The highlights of the day were the mellifluous patriotic song and the synchronized dance performance to the beats of ‘Vande Mataram’ by our students. The moving speech by the School Captain, Md. Shahid Dayer, also deserves a special mention. Hiten Golcha, Master of Ceremonies, steered the programme deftly, while Aishik Nath Dey concluded the event with an impressive Vote of Thanks.

In the midst of this challenging reality that we are caught in, the event was a breath of fresh air and instilled a new hope in all of us, especially our students who will shape the destiny of India someday, that absolutely nothing can crush the indomitable spirit and strength of Indians.
