A Celebration of Numbers: MCKV observes National Mathematics Day

National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22 to mark the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, rightly known as The Man who knew Infinity. With the intent of paying homage to this wonder Mathematician, to create awareness among students about the importance of Mathematics in daily life, and to generate an interest in Mathematics the school organised a series of activities for students across all classes. Students of Class 9 wearing numerical head gears posed as quiz masters and visited different classes right from the junior-most to the senior most, challenged our boys with interesting and thought provoking sudoku puzzles, maths problems and brain teasers. The winners earned a special sticker designed exclusively for the occasion. The chief attraction of the day was a marathon maths quiz comprising innovative rounds, specially designed and executed by the students of Class 11.

 At the end of the day, we felt immensely satisfied as our students discovered a renewed love for Mathematics.
