An Expression of Gratitude: MCKV Interact Club celebrates Grandparents’ Day

For most of us, our fondest memories of childhood are associated with our grandparents – either listening to bed time stories from our grandmothers, or secretly pestering our grandfathers for another piece of chocolate. Our grandparents are a treasure house of affection and wisdom. They play an irreplaceable role in our lives. They not only teach us to dream and imagine, but also are the wind beneath our wings. As a token of gratitude, for their indispensable role in our lives, the Interact Club of M.C.Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised ‘Shukriya’, a fun filled session with  the grandparents of the Foundational Stage students, namely classes KG, 1 and 2, on 30th January, 2022.

Our Interactors presented a bouquet of programmes for our dear grandparents- ranging from Hindi and Bengali recitations to melodious songs. The Antakshari was indeed a crowd puller. It was a real delight to see our grandparents participate in the event so enthusiastically. Connecting and interacting with them, however, was the best part of the Sunday morning and we felt truly blessed and contented for having touched their lives.

MCKV always takes pride in imparting the right values to its students. This was, one such event, which taught our students compassion, empathy, love and concern for the elderly people in our lives and society at large.
