M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth successfully concluded the project Booked for Investigation under the Recognition of International Dimensions in Schools (RIDS) programme, in collaboration with United School, Nepal , fostering cross-cultural literary engagement and global perspectives. Through this initiative, students explored and compared the investigative methods of renowned literary detectives such as Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Feluda, and Byomkesh Bakshi, gaining insight into how cultural contexts shape ideas of justice, logic, and problem-solving.
The international collaboration began with an independently conducted quiz on literary detectives for Class 6 students at both schools, followed by the exchange of scoreboards, which encouraged enthusiasm and friendly competition. This was followed by student-created podcasts by Class 6 and Class 8 students demonstrated analytical engagement with detective fiction. The exchange of podcasts and peer feedback strengthened collaborative learning.
Additionally, students of Classes 6, 7, and 8 watched Enola Holmes and shared reflective movie reviews, comparing interpretations across cultures. The programme culminated in an online inter-school debate for Class 8 on cultural adaptability in justice systems.
The collaboration across borders highlighted literature as a powerful medium for inquiry, empathy, and global citizenship, aligning strongly with the objectives of the RIDS programme.
