On October 28 2024, M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth celebrated Diwali with a vibrant array of activities. All these activities were designed to instil the need to embrace an eco-friendly Diwali, while nurturing traditional values among students.
The day began with a special assembly where Middle School students enacted a skit highlighting the importance of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali. Preparatory Stage children presented a dance performance, while students of Senior School performed an instrumental piece adding to the festive aura.
In the Pre-Primary section, students of Pre-Nursery to KG crafted handmade greeting cards and presented them to school authorities as a gesture of gratitude. These young children also visited the reception area to seek blessings from Goddess Kali and enjoyed a class party with a tiffin-sharing tradition, thereby, immersing themselves in the festival’s true spirit.
Special activities for Classes 1 and 2 included Diwali cleaning, where students learned the significance of tidying spaces to welcome prosperity and happiness. They also decorated diyas and were encouraged to embrace a Green Diwali.
Students of Class 3 made paper diyas, symbolizing eco-conscious celebrations, while Class 4 created beautiful wall hangings traditionally associated with Diwali decorations, and Class 5 students crafted intricate flower rangolis, illuminating them with diyas to signify the victory of light over darkness.
Academic Coordinators extended warm Diwali wishes to parents during the dispersal of students, marking a memorable celebration for the entire school community.
