ECOBRICKS WORKSHOP FOR CLASS 7

Published on: 30 Sep 2024

M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised a hands-on workshop session on building ecobricks to promote sustainable practices for conserving the environment and raise awareness about plastic waste management. Ecobricks are an excellent way of recycling non-biodegradable plastic and a powerful tool for cleaning up the plastic waste. These bricks can also be used for creating structures that will stand the test of time.

On 30 September 2024, a workshop on ecobricks was conducted by Ms Yogini Bapat, an active environmentalist, for the students of Class 7. Under the guidance of Ms Bapat, our students worked in small groups, to create ecobricks of the best quality.

The PowerPoint presentation by Ms Bapat on the environmental consequences of plastic waste and how ecobricks can improve the situation was truly an eye-opener.

Students demonstrated great enthusiasm while creating the bottle bricks and the school intends to use these ecobricks built by our energetic students for a sustainable construction in the school premises in the form of furniture, garden benches and plant holders. These would inspire the society to adopt eco-friendly habits for a better future. This workshop just marks the beginning of a greener tomorrow.
