Every trickle of water counts: session on water conservation
Published on: 24 Jun 2024
We can not turn back time, but we can grow forests, revive water sources, and nurture the soil. We are the last generation that can make a difference. With this belief, M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised an interactive session entitled “Every Trickle of Water Counts” on 24 June 2024 for all the students of Class 6.
The session was conducted by Mr Sukrit Sen, a Heritage and Disaster Manager, a trained musician, currently serving as the Outreach Coordinator for the Living Waters Museum and a research associate with ICCROM.
The session aimed at creating awareness about the current scenario of water crisis in our country. Mr Sen initiated a discussion on the daily footprints of water, emphasizing how students can become climate warriors. The session focused on solutions to water scarcity. Students were encouraged to use innovative and creative tools to help rebuild the community.
The highlight of the hour-long interactive session was the infusion of nature sounds, especially that of water into the narration and the soulful conclusion with a musical demonstration.
We look forward to creating a world where students will take up an active role in overcoming this crisis for a drop of water is worth more than a pot of gold to a thirsty man.
