Independence Day celebrations by the Pre-Primary Children
Published on: 12 Aug 2022
As a part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, marking the 75th Independence Day of India and keeping up with the tradition of MCKV Independence Day Celebrations, the Pre-Primary wing of the school organized a brilliant show on 11 August 2022 in the Audio-Visual room.
The short programme included a soulful patriotic song 'Vijay Vishwa Tiring Pyara', a marvellous skit highlighting the importance of the three colours and the dharma chakra in our national flag, and a role play depicting the lives of famous freedom fighters. A video presentation on the story of India’s independence was shown to the students. However, the show stopper event for the day was the beautiful dance presentation. It was an absolute delight to see our dancers dressed in traditional costumes of different states of India, promoting the message of unity in diversity.
Students of the Preparatory Stage were engaged in different class room activities designed to burgeon a patriotic fervour within them. Students displayed their beautiful crafts on national symbols, national flag and treated themselves with tiranga sandwiches.
All the boys received national flags as souvenirs to carry back home.
MCKV always takes pride in the fact that it nurtures values of patriotism and nationalism in its students right from a tender age. After all, it is these children who eventually bloom into great sons of India, deeply connected to their roots, culture and tradition. Today’s celebration was just a small step towards building a better future for our motherland.
