International Yoga Day Celebrations

Published on: 20 Jun 2025

M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth celebrated International Yoga Day on 20 June 2025 with great enthusiasm and purpose, aiming to foster physical fitness, mental well-being, and mindfulness among students. Children of Nursery to Class 6 actively participated in age-appropriate, guided yoga sessions conducted in the AV Hall and school auditorium.

Led by our dedicated physical education teachers, students engaged in a variety of breathing exercises and yoga postures. The young learners of Classes 1 and 2 enthusiastically demonstrated animal-inspired poses such as the cat, butterfly, cobra, flamingo, and frog, with special emphasis on correct technique and safety. Students of Classes 3 to 6 performed Suryanamaskar and a series of foundational asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Virabhadrasana, and Padmasana, under close supervision.

Each session concluded with calming pranayama practices such as Kapalbhati and Bhramari, allowing students to experience a sense of inner peace and relaxation.

This initiative was not just a celebration, but a step towards cultivating discipline, enhancing concentration, reducing stress, and improving flexibility and balance among our students. We hope that these early experiences with yoga inspire lifelong wellness habits and a mindful approach to everyday life.
