MCKV celebrates Friendship Day

In tune with the spirit of the joyous festival of Friendship Day, MCKVians celebrated their eternal bonds of friendship on 1 August 2023.

The Preparatory wing of the school came to life with a variety of activities. While students of Class 3 gifted each other ‘compliment flowers’ highlighting the best qualities of their dearest friends in each petal, Class 4 students engaged in preparing delectable biscuit sandwiches and lemonade for their best friends. Our budding poets and authors of Class 5 dedicated their original compositions to their best friends reminiscing about their fondest friendships. Across all classes, students exchanged bands and promises of everlasting friendship with each other.

The noble idea of honouring friends and friendship is truly a great lesson to impart. After all, friendship forms the foundation of all relationships and helps young children acquire important life skills like collaboration, empathy, problem solving, fellow feeling and solidarity like nothing else does.
