On 19 December 2024, M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth celebrated National Mathematics Day with a series of engaging and interactive activities, paying tribute to the legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The day began with Collage Making on Patterns, where students of Classes 5 and 6 explored the beauty of mathematical designs found in nature, art, and architecture, creating vibrant collages. Students of Classes 7 and 8 participated in Calendar Making on Indian Mathematics, a creative journey through the history of Indian mathematics, designing personalized calendars to highlight the contributions of iconic mathematicians.

Our young problem-solvers of Classes 8 and 9 participated in a Mathematical Treasure Hunt, solving riddles and puzzles as they navigated the campus in search of hidden treasures. The day concluded with the Math Quiz Challenge, where senior students of Class 11 showcased their mathematical prowess, critical thinking, and teamwork in a competitive environment. In another quiz, Class 9 students assumed the role of quiz masters and challenged Class 4 students with mathematical problems.

The celebration was a perfect blend of learning and fun, emphasizing experiential learning through creativity and problem-solving. It was an inspiring day as MCKV encouraged students to honour Ramanujan’s legacy and nurture their mathematical curiosity.
