MCKV Junior Olympiad 2025

The much-awaited MCKV Junior Olympiad 2025 was held on 13 December 2025 at Sailen Manna Stadium, Howrah Maidan, with great enthusiasm, colour, and festive spirit.
The programme commenced with the warm welcome of the Guest of Honour, Mr Shouvik Ghosh, distinguished national footballer. The Olympiad Torch was ceremoniously lit by the Junior School Captain along with the House Captains, following which Mr Ghosh formally declared the Sports Meet open.
The occasion was graced by several eminent dignitaries, including Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal (Chairman), Mr Neelkantha Gupta (Director), Mr Partha Sarathi Chakraborty (CEO), Mr Abhay Kejriwal (Trustee), Mr Biswajit Majumdar (Headmaster), Mrs Suman Sood (Director and Principal, B. D. Memorial Junior School), and Mr Niraj Kumar Harodia (Co-founder, JPNR Consultants). In his welcome address, the Headmaster emphasized that Sports Day is not merely about winning medals, but about embracing the values of participation, dedication, discipline, and teamwork.
The ceremony featured an impressive and well-coordinated March Past, a delightful Fancy Walk, and captivating thematic drills highlighting ocean conservation and unity in diversity. The synchronized yoga display and the dynamic karate presentation were particularly commendable. A series of thrilling races and competitive track events further electrified the stadium, filling the atmosphere with cheers, energy, and boundless excitement.
In his address, Mr Shouvik Ghosh inspired the young participants by underscoring the importance of discipline, dedication, and physical fitness in shaping a strong and balanced future.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where Beta House emerged as the Champion of the MCKV Junior Olympiad 2025. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Sylvia Mendes, Foundational Stage Coordinator, leaving behind cherished memories of joy, camaraderie, and true sporting spirit.
