Procrastination is a challenge that we have all faced at one point or another. For as long as humans have been around, we have been struggling with delaying, avoiding, and procrastinating on issues that matter to us. On 16 April 2024, a session focusing on the long-lasting effects of procrastination entitled Procrastination is the Thief of Time was organized for the students of Class 12 by the Wellness Centre team of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth. The session aimed at raising awareness about the detrimental consequences of procrastination on academic performance, productivity, and overall well-being. Dr Apala Chatterjee and Ms Mousumi Chowdhury, the school counsellors, offered effective strategies for overcoming this shortcoming. The importance of self-discipline, time management, and proactive behaviour in achieving success and personal growth were reiterated. Students participated in a self-assessment quiz to evaluate their procrastination tendencies and identify areas for improvement.
The empowering session proved to be extremely rewarding as students were able to gain an understanding of practical tools to combat procrastination and make the most of their time and potential.
