National Mathematics Day in MCKV

National Mathematics Day was observed in M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth on 22 December 2023, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. The Department of Mathematics organised a spectacular Mathematics exhibition, Mathemagic 2023. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, our CEO, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, Director in the presence of Mr Abhijit Lahiri, Principal, MCKVIE, Ms Mallika Mukherjee, Principal, Mr Abhay Kejriwal, Trustee, and Mr Biswajit Majumdar, Headmaster. The exhibition was judged by Ms Ishika Ghosh and Mr Arindam Sil, final year engineering students of MCKVIE. The outstanding exhibits like the Spinning Wheel, Pythagoras' Theorem, Sun Dial and Percentage Park left the judges, guests and visitors in awe.

Students challenged their mathematical abilities in various Maths quizzes organised for different levels. Brainy Flowers and Maths Art were activities that were examples of true transdisciplinary learning. Maths teachers across the school shared interesting trivia and facts on numbers. The Treasure Hunt at the end of the day deserves a special mention.

It was a day of learning and fun, which ignited a passion for the subject among students and made us appreciate the magic that numbers bring to our lives.
