Parenting as a team: An Interactive Session for the Parents of Class 6

Raising a happy and a healthy child is a tremendous task. That is why it is so important to develop an effective partnership with parents. MCKV conducted a session exclusively for the parents of Class 6 on Saturday, 22 July 2023 to raise awareness on the need of parenting as a team.

Mr Amitabh Mohan, renowned Psychologist, Founder and MD of HLS India, along with Ms Apala Chatterjee and Ms Mousumi Choudhury, school counsellors, shared valuable suggestions on how mutual commitment of both the parents and teachers can bring a positive difference in the lives of children. The pivotal role that is played by the parents in the social, emotional and mental upbringing of a child was emphasized through various activities. Citing analogies from real life, parents were made to understand how to handle issues in the preadolescent phase of life.

We anticipate that after attending this enriching session, parents would definitely find their roles more vital to shape the future of the children.
