Positive Parenting Session Empowers Class 5 Parents
Published on: 13 Jul 2025
A special session for the parents of Class 5 students was conducted on 12 July 2025, centred around the theme “They Learn What You Live.”
The session was led by Ms Smaranika Tripathi, a renowned consultant clinical and rehabilitation psychologist, widely known for her pioneering work in roleplay and psychodrama in parenting and child development. With her characteristic insight and dynamism, Ms Tripathi engaged parents in a thought-provoking and interactive experience.
Focusing on the principles of positive parenting, the session emphasised how children mirror the behaviours they observe at home. Through real-life examples, interactive demonstrations, and live roleplay, she effectively conveyed how modelling positive behaviour can foster emotional intelligence, resilience, and social skills in children.
Parents responded with enthusiasm, participating actively and sharing their own insights. The session concluded with practical strategies that parents could implement to build a more mindful, empathetic, and supportive home environment.
The event proved to be both enlightening and empowering, reinforcing the powerful role parents play in shaping their children’s emotional and behavioural development.
