Road Safety Awareness: An Interact Club Initiative

One of the most alarming problems that shackle India is the issue of road safety and security. With over 1.4 lakh people killed every year and many more disabled for lifetime, it is time for us to act now.

On 26 November 2022, the Interact Club presented an interesting street play, in the likes of the nukkad natak, on road safety. The play, performed on the widely known Grand Trunk Road in front of the school, was a first-of-its-kind attempt for all of us. Breaking  formal barriers, the amazing presentation by our Interactors of Classes 9 and 11, to the accompaniment of music, touched the chords of the people’s hearts.

We do hope this small step on our part would bring about a difference in the attitude of the people towards traffic rules and help abate road accidents. The enchanted bystanders much appreciated the efforts of our students with applause, cheers and promises to be more responsible on the streets.
