M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth marked Republic Day through a week-long SDG Awareness Programme under the ASISC initiative for students from UKG to Class 5. The programme aimed to blend national values with the Sustainable Development Goals by sensitising young learners to quality education, gender equality, environmental conservation, and social responsibility through age-appropriate activities.
Upper KG students explored SDG 4, 5, and 15 through discussions, drawing, colouring, and role play of freedom fighters, gaining an early understanding of equality, freedom, and care for nature.
Class 1 and 2 students focussed on SDG 15 by creating awareness boards, participating in nature walks, and presenting skits on environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
Class 3 students highlighted SDG 5 through videos, discussions, poster-making, and tricolour caps carrying the message “We Are Equal”.
Class 4 reflected on gender equality by identifying roles and responsibilities at school, home, and society through creative posters.
Class 5 students observed SDG 4 and 5 by preparing placards and delivering JAM talks on quality education, rights, and inspiring personalities.
The initiative successfully fostered awareness, empathy, and responsible citizenship, truly reflecting the spirit of Republic Day.
