The MCKV Junior Olympiad 2024

M. C. KejriwalVidyapeethhosted the much-anticipated MCKV Junior Olympiad 2024, the annual Junior School sports meet, at the HIT Sports Ground, Ghusuri, Howrah, on 11 January 2024. Shri Jitin Yadav, IAS, Additional District Magistrate, Howrah, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural speech by Shri Kishan Kumar Kejriwal, Chairman, MCKV Group of Institutions, ignited the spirit of sportsmanship among the young athletes, setting the tone for a day filled with excitement and camaraderie.
To ignite a spirit of true sportsmanship and harmony among students, the traditional torch relay was followed by a charming Balloon Walk by the toddlers. Guests joined in releasing balloons, symbolizing a message of peace and friendship. The March Past by the children, set to rhythmic drumbeats, and the solemn oath-taking ceremony, created a captivating atmosphere, officially marking the commencement of the annual sports day of the Junior School.
The enchanting performance of the Junior Choir, rendering the School Anthem, filled the air with energy and zeal, uplifting the entire gathering. A kaleidoscopic Fancy Walk by Nursery, Kindergarten and class I students captured the hearts of spectators. Adorned in costumes representing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the children highlighted global challenges, emphasizing environmental protection and the improvement of human lives.
The track and field events showcased the agility, coordination, strength, and stamina of our energetic participants. Pre-nursery students stole the show by independently navigating through a 'Getting Ready for School' obstacle course, much to the delight of proud parents.
Impressive displays of discipline and coordination were evident in the meticulously performed drill with pompoms, a rejuvenating Yoga presentation, and a deft martial arts performance by the Junior MCKVians. The Tug-of-War emerged as a special highlight, testing students' stamina and teamwork while determining the Champion House.
The crowd, consisting of excited parents, generously applauded the young sports stars throughout the day. The Prize Distribution rounds saw achievers receiving well-deserved medals and certificates, with the Chief Guest's inspiring and appreciative words resonating with all participants. The sparkling eyes and joyous smiles of our children conveyed the enduring spirit of courage and accomplishment. The event was a true testament to the maxim, "It is not life that matters, but the courage you bring to it.”
