Week-Long 77th Independence Day Festivities At MCKV

To foster a deeper connection to the country's rich heritage and inculcate a sense of national pride among our students, M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised week-long celebrations to commemorate India's 77th Independence Day.

Spanning the week from 10 - 16 August 2023, boys were engaged in a wide range of activities. Across all levels, classrooms were decorated in the hues of our tri-colour. While the youngest members of the family made beautiful craft items depicting the essence of Independence Day, Classes 1 and 2 added their unique flavour to the celebrations by carrying tricoloured food items for their lunch. Students of Classes 3 and 8 participated in an interesting quiz which helped them appreciate the incredible stories of India's journey of freedom. Our young actors of Class 4 paid homage to our national heroes by dressing up as iconic historical figures who played crucial roles in India's freedom struggle. For Classes 11 and 12, a face-painting competition on the theme of Glorious India was organized.

Independence Day celebrations at MCKV were also about nurturing dreams about a better India and the poster making competition on the theme of Futuristic India for Classes 5, 6 and 7 did just that.

The festivities concluded at the morning assembly of 16 August 2023. Clad in white ethnic wear and tri-coloured dupattas, the students created a unique atmosphere. A vibrant flash mob performance took place in the atrium during the break. The synchronized dance moves to popular patriotic tunes added a different dimension to the celebrations.

The tiny tots of the Foundational Stage presented a cultural programme on 16 August 2023. Our little stars entertained the audience with patriotic songs, vibrant dances and recitations. The emcees of the cultural programme were the little ones of KG. The confidence with which they hosted the show was truly amazing. Personalized thank-you notes were presented to the dignitaries at the end of the event. May the spirit of patriotism guide our children and help them bloom into ideal citizens of the nation and the world!
