Youth Parliament Workshop at MCKV

On 30 July 2024, a Youth Parliament workshop was organized with the objective of educating students about the workings of parliamentary democracy. The workshop was conducted by Ms Anwesha Bairagi, a postgraduate in Economics and former deputy speaker of Jadavpur MUN, with assistance from Shivansh Bhura, a former student of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth.

Students of  Classes 8 and 9 were introduced to the various procedures and document details of the Youth Parliament by our guests. The extensive knowledge of the speakers was successful in generating an interest among the attendees  regarding parliamentary processes and democratic governance.

 The workshop will serve as a preparatory step for organizing the Kishor Sabha of the Youth Parliament, an initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of India.

The one-hour long session was an excellent learning opportunity for our students and a significant step in nurturing socially and politically aware dynamic youth.
