Bagless day for Class 8

Modern  education is much more than passively acquiring textbook oriented knowledge in a classroom.  With education broadening  its scope, schools are providing singular experiences to the students. The Bagless Day activity for Class 8 was one such notable effort by the school. Since ages, the hefty school bag is a questionable issue among educationists. One of the most laudable clauses of NEP 2020 was introducing the concept of 10 compulsory bagless days for students of Classes 6-8.

 All through the month of January, on different days, different sections of Class 8 went bagless. They were engaged in numerous absorbing activities throughout the day like preparation of phenyl, baking a cake, learning basic electrical setup and envelope making.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the day which was a welcome break from their normal academic routine. It was also a great opportunity for them to learn basic life and vocational skills.
