Build Up: An Entrepreneurship Challenge by the Commerce Department of MCKV

With an intent of providing and promoting an immersive learning experience beyond the traditional classroom setting and nurture the spark of creativity and entrepreneurship among our students, the Commerce Department of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organized, Build Up, a unique challenge for the students of Class 12 on 1 August 2023.

It was an absolute delight to watch our participants pitch their business proposals to our judges, deliberate on the pros and cons of their business ventures and try to skillfully dodge the volley of questions shot at them. Adding a global dimension to the event, the nine participating teams, comprising three members each, were assigned specific combinations of countries and sectors as varied as fashion and France, food and India, renewable energy and Sweden, tourism and Australia, electronics and Japan, to name a few. The well-researched presentations by each team reflected the passion and commitment of all the members involved.

The competition taught our boys the power of team work with a lesson to develop strength of character and the skills of influencing and problem solving by thinking out of the box.
