International Yoga Day Celebrations at M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth

M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm over three days, embracing this year’s theme, Yoga for Healthy Ageing.
The celebrations commenced on 20 June 2026, through Inter House Yoga Competitions for Classes 8 to 10 where students participated enthusiastically.
On 21 June 2026, around 120 members of the MCKV family including staff members, parents and family members, and students of Classes 11 and 12 gathered on the school basketball ground for a collective yoga session in the presence of Trustee, Mr Abhay Kejriwal and Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar. Addressing the gathering, Principal Sir highlighted the importance of yoga in nurturing physical, mental and emotional well-being and elaborated on the significance of the theme.
On 22 June 2026, students from Nursery to Class 6 participated in age-appropriate yoga activities. Dressed in the colours of the Indian flag, the younger children performed yoga postures, breathing exercises and fun animal movements, while students of Classes 3 to 6 showcased a variety of yogasanas with confidence and discipline.
The celebrations indeed promoted fitness, mindfulness, balance, and holistic development among the students.
