On 23 March 2025, twenty-one Class XII students and seven teachers of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth visited Ekal Vidyalayas in Canning, South 24 Parganas, as a part of an educational outreach initiative. On the bus ride, students learned about the history and impactful work of the Friends of Tribal Society, which runs the Ekal Vidyalayas. Upon arrival, the Ekal students welcomed them with traditional drumbeats, tilak , flowers, abir , rakhis, and a vibrant tribal dance. Engaging interactions gave MCKV students a glimpse into the daily lives and challenges of the tribal children. As a gesture of support, MCKV students distributed notebooks, drawing books, and other stationery items. Sharing a simple yet wholesome meal with the Ekal students was a heartfelt moment of connection. The visit offered invaluable insights into rural education and indigenous traditions, reinforcing the power of simplicity, unity, and community-driven learning. MCKV remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote education and meaningful learning experiences for all.
