Measles-Rubella Vaccination Drive at MCKV

Published on: 27 Jan 2023

With the objective of immunizing around 2.33 crore children across West Bengal, the West Bengal Health Department has started the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) across the entire state. On 27 January 2023, M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth, in association with the Bally Municipality, organised this vaccination drive for the students of Pre-Nursery to Class 9. An efficient team of doctors and nurses administered the routine MR vaccine to around 2000 odd children.

An interactive session via Zoom was organized before the drive to increase awareness about how fatal these diseases might be and to encourage parents to immunize their children.

Our parents welcomed this initiative since, with the advent of Covid-19, exercises like MRVC had taken a back seat.

With our students vaccinated against measles and rubella, we look forward to eliminating the threat of this deadly and contagious disease and creating a safer life for our children.
