Precautions for Children in the Omicron Wave: An interactive session with Dr. Shamik Ghosh

One of the primary objectives of MCKV has always been to nurture our students into healthy and robust individuals. We consider good health of our students as a life long investment. With the West Bengal Government announcing reopening of schools, there is a general sense of apprehension among parents as how to keep their children safe. To alleviate this anxiety, and mentally equip our students for the transition back to school after a long hiatus, M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised an interactive session with Dr. Shamik Ghosh, Senior Consultant and Paediatrician with Bhagirathi Neotia Women and Child Care Centre, New Town, and Manipal Hospital, Salt Lake.

Dr. Ghosh briefed the parents of the junior wing about the various Dos and Don’ts regarding children’s health and hygiene. It was really a pleasure to engage in a tête-à-tête with Dr. Ghosh. He patiently satisfied the queries of the worried parents regarding the symptoms of the Omicron variant, the best possible measures for protection and how to boost immunity.

The session proved to be extremely beneficial as practical suggestions and solutions were offered by Dr. Ghosh. Parents conveyed their heart felt gratitude to the school for putting together such an enriching session. It was a Sunday well- spent.
