Prefects' Investiture Ceremony 2026

The Investiture Ceremony of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth (Junior and Senior School) was held on 30 April 2026 with great pride, dignity, and solemnity. The event marked the formal appointment of the school’s student leaders for the academic session 2026–2027.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of the Guest of Honour, Major Arup Kumar Dhabal, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The school choir rendered the school anthem, fostering a spirit of unity and reverence among all present.
The newly appointed student leaders were formally invested with sashes bearing their badges of office by the Guest of Honour, along with the CEO, Dr Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, Director, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, and the Senior and Junior School Headmistresses, Ms Gargi Mukherjee and Ms Keka Mukherjee respectively. The oath of office was administered by the Principal, inspiring the young leaders to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility, and commitment.
In his address, Director, Mr Neelkantha Gupta highlighted the true meaning of leadership, urging students to build meaningful connections within the school community and to lead with humility, empathy, and a spirit of service. The Guest of Honour enriched the occasion with insightful anecdotes, emphasising that knowledge provides direction and serves as a guiding force in one’s journey through life.
A patriotic song, celebrating unity, duty, and an abiding love for the nation, infused the ceremony with energy and pride.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the School Vice-Captain, Debayan Pal, Class 11E, followed by the National Anthem sung in unison, leaving the gathering inspired and optimistic about the future.
