Published on: 20 Aug 2024

A special assembly was organized on 20 August 2024 to celebrate the beautiful festival of Rakshabandhan, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurture contented and rooted citizens. Students from different classes participated in a special skit that depicted the traditional customs associated with Rakshabandhan, showcasing how sisters tie rakhis on their brothers’ wrists, and in return, brothers vow to protect them. The skit was followed by the traditional rakhi tying ceremony where our respected lady colleagues and our dear girl children tied rakhis on the wrists of Lord Ganesha, Lord Krishna,  Chairman, Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal, Director, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, Headmaster, Mr Biswajit Majumdar and the Captain of the various Houses, reinforcing the idea of treating each other as  family.

At the later part of the day, students of Foundational Stage ( Pre-Nursery to Class 2), too, joined in the celebrations. They designed beautiful rakhis and tied the same on one another, engaged in scrapbooking activity, thereby promoting mutual respect and a sense of community.

The event was a wonderful way to instil cultural values in students and to remind everyone of the importance of relationships and mutual respect.
