Stepping into a New Horizon: Orientation Programme for Class XI Students

M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth welcomed its newly admitted Class XI students through an engaging Orientation Programme on 9 June 2026, marking the beginning of their senior secondary journey. The programme aimed to acquaint students and parents with the school's vision, values, and opportunities.
The event commenced with a welcome by Alpha House Captain, Lakshya Tibrewal and Alpha House Prefect, Aditi Sinha of Class XII A, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The occasion was graced by Ms Sonia Gidla, Principal of Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kolkata, Kishan Kumar Kejriwal, Chairman, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, Director, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, Principal, Ms Gargi Mukherjee, Senior School Headmistress and Ms Keka Mukherjee, Junior School Headmistress.
In his address, Chairman, Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal encouraged students to be good human beings rather than chase marks. He also encouraged parents to engage in open parent-child communication for emotional well-being.
Director, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, highlighted the enduring value of discipline, committment, perseverance, and hard work in an era shaped by instant solutions.
The keynote address by Ms Sonia Gidla inspired students to introspect and understand their skill sets, embrace challenges, remain rooted in values and pursue excellence with confidence and resilience.
Ms Sanchita Sarkar, Secondary Stage Coordinator, conducted a virtual tour of the campus, showcasing the school's achievements, academic facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Presentations by Interact Club, NCC, and Business Enterprise Team introduced students to opportunities for leadership, service, and entrepreneurship.
School Captain, Naitik Jain (12A), warmly welcomed the new batch, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities at MCKV and actively participate in school life.
The informative and inspiring two-hour long session left students and parents confident and excited about the journey ahead, reaffirming MCKV's commitment to nurturing responsible, resilient, and future-ready learners.
